Suppose you want to change the location of all requirements to Virginia or you want to be kept informed about the requirement and changes made to it etc.
Go to the report .
Select custom attributes.
3. Select the attribute you want to change ;Eg., Location for all requirements need to be changed to virginia.
4. Set Location as Virginia.
5. Select the requirements you want to modify eg If you want to modify all requirement’s location to Virginia. Click on Select.All the requirements will be selected.
6. Click on update.
7. All requirement’s location will be changed to virginia.
Note- Make sure you have the permissions to update the custom attribute.You can update permissions by going to Configure Project → Manage Roles → Required Requirement Type; eg., Functional Requirements → Select Updatable attributes → Select Update.
8. If you want to append a custom attribute ,the appended value will be added at the end of attribute.
Click on the rows you want to append → set the value which needs to be appended → Click on update
→ The value will be appended for selected rows.
9. If you want to replace the value of custom attribute ;eg .,write replace virginia with dallas.
10. Select the requirements you want to replace.
11. Click on replace button.
12. Selected requirements value will get updated.
