Tracetypes

Tracetypes defines the link between two requirements. It defines how two requirements are connected to each other. Whether the downstream requirement traces up to the upstream requirement or it supports,satisfies,validates ,derives,verifies or documents upstream requirement.

 

  1. Go to my projects page.

  2. Open your project.

  3. Go to a folder where upstream trace has to be created; eg., functional requirements folder.

  4. Click the requirement in which you want to create an upstream trace.

  5. Select open in new tab.

  6. Go to traceability.

  7. Select create traces.

8. Select the folder in which the requirement to create upstream/downstream trace exists.

9. Several options to create upstream or downstream trace appears along with trace types.

10. Select a option to create trace.

11. Close the folder.

12.Your trace has been created.

13. You can change trace types as per your needs.

14. You can also add a trace type as per your requirement.

15. Go to configure Project → Project core Info. → Trace Types

16. Type the Trace Type you want to add.Here Is needed for is added.

17. Press update core Info button.

18. Now go back to the requirement → Traceability tab.

19 . Click on the trace.

20. The New trace type is added.
