Create a new Requirement

 

Based on your project/process needs, you can have different types of requirements. These are set by the project administrators. Requirements are by default of 6 types:

  • Business Requirements

  • Functional Requirements

  • Test Cases

  • Test Results

  • Defects

  • Release

  1. Go to the home page.

2. Click on functional requirements.

 

3. Click on create a new fr.

4. Fill the details and click on create a functional requirement.

 

5. A new fr is created.

There are six tabs in the requirement screen. They are as follows:

I. Core: In the core tab, you can view and edit the name and the description of the requirement.

II. Attribute: In this tab, you can view and edit custom attributes.

III. Traceability: You can connect requirements or delete traces, clear suspect, etc., using the traceability tab.

Refer to the traceability section.

IV. Comments: You can add comments to a requirement.

V. Attachments-You can add attachments to the requirement. You can also download, change, delete the file, or edit the description.

VI. All in one: In this tab, you can find all the above five tabs in a single page for ease of use.

You can perform various functions by clicking on settings icon after opening the requirement; e.g., create a child of the requirement, lock, purge, add a baseline.
